Description:

Imported Chinese Prefold Diapers are known to be the best in the world, not like the ones found in discount stores. 100% cotton birdseye weave diapers that are soft, durable and highly absorbent. These premium diapers quilt up for superior absorption. 4 X 8 X 4 layering design. Chinese Prefold diapers do not become soft or absorbent until they have been washed and dried. You can expect shrinkage of up to 1" in width and 2" in length. 5Great diaper  Apr 28, 2007
By Elizabeth
I haven't used any other kinds of diapers, but these have worked great for us. They wash well- no stains to date!- remain soft, fit well into Bummi Whisper Wraps, and absorb a lot. We've never had a blowout with poop in six months while using these diapers and Bummis. They have stayed a lot softer than the store-bought pre-folds I got.

5Excellent diapers  Sep 13, 2008
By K. Kahn
I have used these diapers for several weeks now and absolutely love them. I had been using the Indian premie-sized prefolds, but my son is now big enough to fit into these small Chinese prefolds. There is definitely a difference between them. The unbleached CPSs are more absorbant and hide stains better than the bleached IPFs, but the IPFs are softer. I use my prefolds with both Bummis and Thirsties covers. These CPFs are a little more bulky than the IPFs, but still fit under the covers and do their job.

The only downside to these is that they take longer to dry than the thinner IPFs. I hang them outside now that it is summer. I tried them in the dryer once and they were still a little damp after 2 cycles.

If you get these, make sure you wash them several times in very hot water before use to make them absorbant. Taking a hint from another cloth user, I actually boiled mine in a large pot in the stove and then did 2 hot runs in the wash before their first use. They have become even more absorbant with each washing.

I highly recommend these and will buy more as my son grows (although I'll probably purchase them directly from the babybecause.com website so I can get more diapering things and combine shipping).

5Highly Recommended  Mar 20, 2008

These diapers are by far the most hassle free cloth diaper. They dry quickly and the covers can be reused without a wash if they don't get anything on them. You can also quickly hand wash the cover and hang it up for a few hours to dry. To start, we bought 30 small prefolds and 6 newborn diaper covers. When she got a bit too big for the covers we bough 6 more size small covers. We have not yet had to purchase larger prefolds. I highly recommend these over any type of cloth diaper.

1go with fleece  Oct 27, 2009
By N. Malignaggi
I bought a TON of these for my baby girl. Not knowing what in the heck to get for cloth diapers. They worked OK for the first couple of months. But when she started sleeping more through the night she began getting rashes. She would be sitting in a soaking, sopping wet diaper for hours. The only alternative was to change her multiple times at night. This created a sleepless night for me, as every time I changed her she would fully wake up and need to be rocked, lulled, walked and cradled back to sleep, sometimes taking over an hour.

I finally switched to Pocket diapers with fleece lining and they worked MUCH better. A bigger initial investment but worth it in the long run.

2Thick but too narrow  Sep 17, 2009
By N. Winslow
These prefolds are nice and thick, but they're too long and not wide enough. These have never fit around my baby, but I do use them folded in a cover. My baby was a little larger than average when born (8lbs, 3oz), but they definitely should have fit around her stomach. If you're looking for a diaper to fold and set in a cover, this one is fine, but if you want a diaper that you can pin or close with a snappi, I suggest another company.
