Beautiful piece of furniture for baby's room Jun 03, 2009
By MamaB We bought the changing table and the convertible crib. Overall, we have been happy with both--especially with the look of them in the room--but there are a few things to consider about the changing table.
1. Be prepared for arms and legs (...and toys...and shoes...etc.) to go through the gap between the bars and the changing table top, which could be dangerous if you pick up the child while the appendage is sticking through. Also, the bars can become great handles for getting up or for fighting being changed--especially if you child is as strong as mine!
2. Finish scratches VERY easily. This doesn't bother me too much because it is a child's room after all. I have just learned to be more careful with my wedding ring to keep it from scratching the finish and keep my daughter from biting the rails and leaving bite marks.
None of these problems were major for us, but as first-time parents we hadn't thought of those potential problems ahead of time. The drawers are nice and spacious and putting it together was not too hard. We have needed to tighten the screws a couple of times since the initial assembly.
Again though, we are VERY happy with this product overall as it is nice, real furniture piece for a relatively low cost.
**Updates #3-5, now that we have used this for a longer period of time.** 3. Be prepared to do frequent tightening of the screws. As they loosen, the whole piece of furniture gets very wobbly.
4. The drawers were spacious enough for infant clothes but they don't fit toddler clothes nearly as well. So, while the crib converts to toddler usage and beyond, the dresser/changer won't last you as long.
5. On the plus side, my very active 2-year-old has been very hard on this piece and it has held up quite well to her climbing, jumping, and other rough use.

Beautiful Jan 16, 2007
By Maddox's Mommy This changing table is sturdy, solid, beautiful, and easy to put together. We purchased the whole nursery set and are very happy with the quality and look of all the pieces.

Beautiful, but falls apart Feb 28, 2010

This piece was relatively easy to put together, and it looked great in my son's nursery. However, after a year or so of diaper changing and every day use, It started to fall apart. THe drawers were flimsy and they wouldn't stay attached. I ended up throwing it away after a year and a half.

Looks Beautiful , But Quality just average Sep 15, 2010
By GoldNER I just assembled the change table ... so far it looks good but I am not fond of the quality. The drawers are very flimsy, I suggest not packing to many diapers and heavier items in them. I do not think they will hold up long term if packed
Assembly was ok, not to bad. Instructions could be clearer and the parts could have been labeled to help make assembly easier to coordinate with the instructions~
The black finish was beautiful A+ but seems to scratch very easy~
Overall this will do the job for the year and half the baby needs, however I would have rather paid an extra $100.00 for solid wood drawers and better quality to have this piece of furniture much longer!!!! For the price its better then most change tables I have shopped for. I just wish all these companies would focus more on quality in the future~ I think people are tired of the throw out replace agenda and will spend more for better made products!
As a tip ... I recommend using wood glue wherever you you join the dowels. I think this will aid in it being sturdier . It seems to have given this table a better hold~

not very strong May 05, 2009

"er"
i like to start of by saying cherry colour is not really cherry:( sad but true, it did not match my other davinci stuff that was also cherry. i am a little worried that the changing top will not be strong enough to hold a baby for long. its made out of partical board about 1/4 inch think. what if your little one happens to make a mess, that board is going to turn to mush.
the construction is very poor and it not really worth the money, but to late now for me :(
